Opelousas - Funeral Services for Cecile Meche Zerangue will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rev. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will officiate the services. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.

Cecile Zerangue, age 90, and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Opelousas General Health System.

She is survived by her daughters, Nella Z. Delahoussaye and husband, Mike of Carencro; and Lita Z. Chaney and husband, Mike of Zachary; sister, Patsy Latiolais; grandchildren: Mandie Stelly, Michael Basile II, Natalie Daigle, Meghan Ward, Mindy Roy, and Michael Roy; 4 stepgrandchildren: Toby Delahoussaye, Jody Delahoussaye, Bryan Delahoussaye, and Dana Guidry; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clebert Zerangue, Jr.; her parents, Elzay and Oscalie Meche; brothers, Willie Meche, Alvin Meche, Bruno Meche; and sisters, Winnie Zerangue, Marie Knott, Lola Latiolais, and Melanie Guidroz.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday in the funeral home.
