Cecil Antie

PORT BARRE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Cecil Antie at 1:00 p.m. on Friday on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Visitation will be on Friday, June 21, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited by Mrs. Johnny "Boo Boo" Soileau at 11:30 a.m. on Friday morning. Rite of Committal will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

Cecil Antie, 77, passed from this life surrounded by loved ones on Monday, June 17, 2019.

Cecil was born to Whitney and Corine Antie in Bunkie, La. He was known as a jack of all trades and a great mechanic. He enjoyed motorcycle riding with his wife, bike riding with his grandchildren, fishing, and spending time with those he loved. Cecil will be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, and beloved Pawpaw.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Georgiana Joubert Antie, daughters; Michele & Tony Darbonne of Port Barre and Stacey Fitzgerald of Port Barre, brothers; Herbert “Frog” & Vergie Antie of Port Barre and Curtis & Linda Antie of Fairview, Az, sisters; Yvonne Marks of Lafayette and Audrey & Carroll Richard of Port Barre, grandchildren; Britni & Paul Daigle of Sunset, Lexi & Dane Arceneaux of Opelousas, Kaitlin & Kalen Stelly of Port Barre, and Kori Fitzgerald and Klair Fitzgerald of Port Barre, great-grandchildren; Bella Arceneaux, Camryn Daigle, Lane Daigle, Reid Stelly, and Harper Stelly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother; JT Antie, and brother in law; Jimmy Marks.
