Carroll Joseph Fitzgerald

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Carroll Joseph Fitzgerald, age 69, will be held at 10: 00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas, La. Father Paul Bienvienu will officiate the services.

Mr. Fitzgerald, was a native of Opelousas area and resident of Lake Charles, La. He died at 1:37 a.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2007, at Martin-Deporres Nursing Home, Lake Charles, La.

Survivors include his sons, Michael and wife Sharon Fitzgerald of Cecilia, La, and Kenneth Gregory Fitzgerald of Lafayette, La; a brother, Johnny Wayne Fitzgerald of Opelousas, La., and three grandchildren.

Mr. Fitzgerald was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Agnes Robin Fitzgerald.

Mr. Fitzgerald worked as an EMT during the productive years of his life and served our wonderful Nation by serving in the U.S. Navy.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, November 12, 2007, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
