Carole Ponville

Lafayette Memorial services for Mrs. Carole Suire Ponville will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at The Beanery at The Bayou Church, 2234 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette. Private interment will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath, LA, at a later date.
Carole died on Sunday, June 8, 2014, at the age of 62 at her home in Broussard with her family by her side. She was born on January 26, 1952, in Lafayette, LA, to Eugene Suire, Sr. and Inez Babin Suire. Mrs. Ponville enjoyed family gatherings and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She was an avid pool player and she enjoyed crocheting and listening to Cajun music.
She is survived by her children and step children, Crystal Dugan Sarkies and her fianc, Jerry Spurlock of Lafayette Veronica Suire Lemaire of Broussard Cory Suire Delcambre and her husband, Charidy Delcambre of Delcambre Dustin Heath Suire and his fianc, Maria Reece of Erath Debbie Guigneaux and her husband, Al Guigneaux of New Iberia and Holly Johnson and her husband, Kevin Johnson of New Iberia and three siblings, Eugene Suire, Jr. of New Iberia Leana Marie Suire of New Iberia and Michael Suire of St. Martinville. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Inez and Eugene Suire, Sr. her husband, Raymond Joseph Ponville her brother, David Myron Suire and her sister, Mary Alice Suire Vallot. She was also preceded in death by two granddaughters, Leva Mae Lemaire and Arianna Marie Boutte.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in The Beanery at The Bayou Church, 2234 Kaliste Saloom Road, Lafayette, LA.
