Carl Bergeron

Opelousas Funeral Services for Carl J. Tottie Bergeron, age 38, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and Interment will follow in the St. Bridget Cemetery. Pastor Drew Rousse and Pastor Benny Reppond will conduct the Services.

Carl, Tottie was a resident of Opelousas and passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 as a result of an auto accident. Tottie was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Fontenot Bergeron of Opelousas son, Chancy James Bergeron and fianc, Sarah Kidder of Opelousas daughter, Fallon Bergeron of Opelousas parents, Susan S. Smith and husband, Arnold of Broussard brothers, Dylan Smith of Broussard Totties Godchild Darin Doiga of Opelousas and Joseph Wayne Bergeron, Jr. of Opelousas sisters, Katina Richard and husband, Jimmy of Arnaudville Stacey Bergeron of Broussard Sarah Hudnall and husband, Lyle of Jena Amy Bergeron of Opelousas and Casey Roy of Opelousas motherinlaw, Juanita Fontenot of Opelousas and several nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Tottie was preceded in death by his father, Willie Castille fatherinlaw, Michael Ray Fontenot Maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ovide Stelly Paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Castille, Sr. Paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Smith, Sr. sister, Loretta Bergeron and his niece, Halie Castille.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.
