Carita Comeaux Guidroz

Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Carita Comeaux Guidroz, 86, will be held at 10: 00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Father Nicky Trahan will officiate the Mass.

Mrs. Guidroz was born in Church Point and was a past resident of Port Barre. She was currently living in Broussard. She died on Monday, December 3, 2007, in Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. She was the Co-owner of Guidroz Grocery Store. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include one son, Bryon Guidroz and wife, Elaine of Broussard; and four grandchildren: Elizabeth Aymond, Mark Guidroz, Jason Guidroz, and Jean-Louis Guidroz.

Mrs. Guidroz was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Guidroz; one son, Kaaryn Guidroz and daughter-in-law, Rose Ann Guidroz; and her parents: Jean-Batiste and Armante Rivette Comeaux.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, December 5 from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.

A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the funeral home.
