Byron Kim Badeaux

Byron Kim Badeaux, a skilled automotive mechanic, passed away on December 19, 2023, in Port Barre, Louisiana. He was born on August 31, 1966, in Opelousas, Louisiana. Byron was well-known for his dedication to his craft and his unwavering commitment to helping others through his work. 

From an early age, Byron exhibited an innate curiosity about how things worked. This curiosity eventually led him to become an exceptional automotive mechanic. His passion for his profession shone through in every task he undertook.

Beyond his career, Byron had a wide range of hobbies and interests that defined him as a person. He found solace in working on remote-controlled cars, spending hours meticulously fine-tuning each component to achieve maximum performance. Fidgeting with objects brought him joy and relaxation. One of Byron's favorite pastimes was taking things apart and occasionally putting them back together again. In addition to automotive mechanics Byron possessed an extraordinary talent for working with electronics. Music held a special place in Byron's heart, particularly rock and roll. He often found solace in listening to his favorite bands.

Byron is survived by his daughter, Kristyn Badeaux; his grandson, Lucas Skinner; his brothers, Billy Badeaux, Albert “Ray” Lanclos and wife, Diane, Johnny Badeaux and wife, Billie, and Bobby Badeaux and wife, Kathy; sisters, Earline Murray and husband, Tom, and Peggy Fuselier and husband, Clyde; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Byron is preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Badeaux; mother, Ethelene Stelly Callaway; and sister-in-law, Carla Badeaux

As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Byron not with sadness but with gratitude for the joy he brought into our lives.
