Brett Meche

Grand Coteau Funeral services for Brett Adam Meche will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2015, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau, LA. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the services.

Brett passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 15. Brett was born in Baton Rouge and was a resident of Leonville.

He was a student who enjoyed watching cartoons and playing with loud toys. He brought love to anyone that met him and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Survivors include his parents, Brady Meche and Timeka Percle Meche his brother, Baylie Alexander Meche and his sister, Katlin Renee Meche, all of Leonville his paternal grandparents, Ronnie Meche of Leonville and Marie Benoit of Opelousas his godparents, Connie Richard of Church Point and Wynn Rung, Jr. of Crowley and a host of aunts and uncles, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kathleen Marks Mouton and Steve Percle, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Baylie Meche, Steve Percle, Nick Percle, Carroll Begnaud, Mike Tiliakos, and Kenny LaFleur.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to help defray the funeral expenses.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Sunday, January 4, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
