Opelousas Funeral services for Ms. Veillon , age 57, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 14, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in St Peter Cemetery in Grand Prairie.

Fr. Mark Melancon will officiate the services.

Ms. Veillon was a native of Ville Plate, LA and a resident of Opelousas. She died at 7:43 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2007, at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Survivors include her parents: Kenney Veillon and Ida Soileau Veillon; one son, Chad Darbonne and wife Jodi of Tunica, LA; one daughter Chantel Guice of Opelousas La, and 10 grandchildren.

Ms. Veillon was preceded in death by her son, Nicholas Nicky Darbonne.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, December 13, 2007, beginning at 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until time of services in the funeral home.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 in the funeral home.
