Bonnie Jagneaux

OpelousasFuneral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas for Mrs. Bonnie Lou Hargroder Jagneaux. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Deacon Sammy Diesi will officiate the services.
Bonnie was a native of Opelousas and longtime resident of Washington, LA. She passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 85.
Bonnie was retired from the United States Postal Service. She was a former All State Basketball Player from AIC. She was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Washington. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Survivors include one son, Charles Jagneaux of Knotlyville one daughter, Denise J. Becnel and husband, Sean of Baton Rouge one sister, Dora Nell Hargroder Manuel of Opelousas and three grandchildren, Lex Jagneaux of Lafayette Brooke Jagneaux of New Orleans and Courtney Jagneaux of Orange Beach, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L. J. Jagneaux three sisters, Juanita Hargroder Martin, Elsie Mae Hargroder Quebedeaux, and Geraldine Hargroder and two brothers, Gerald Hargroder and Malcolm Hargroder.
Pallbearers will be Charles Jagneaux, Sean Becnel, Lex Jagneaux, Brooke Jagneaux, Kenneth Manuel, and Terry Vidrine.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, October 16, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Mrs. Bonnie to the Alzheimers Association.
