Bonnie Courville

Opelousas– A Funeral Service will be held for Bonnie Courville Bene on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.; the rosary will be recited at 1:30 p.m. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Bonnie, age 70, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at her residence in Opelousas surrounded by her family.

Bonnie enjoyed spending time outdoors going swimming and fishing with her family and friends. She also loved crocheting in her spare time. Bonnie had a great love for animals, especially her dog, Angel, who was the love of her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Douglas Marks and wife, Penny of Opelousas; daughter, Tonya Marks of Lafayette; brothers, Clayton Courville of Opelousas, Milton Courville of Port Barre, Adam Courville and wife, Diane of Washington, and Billy Courville of Opelousas; sisters, Mary Singleton of Baton Rouge, Beverly Chautin and husband, Ronald of Opelousas, and Amanda Bergeron and husband, Glenn Boudreaux of Port Barre; grandchildren, Paige Andrepont, Devin Andrepont, Sayrn Marks and Dylan “Tre” Marks; and great-grandson, Bryson “Bubba” Narcisse.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Douglas Courville and Berna Fontenot Courville; brothers, Melton Courville and Tony Courville.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to offset the cost of funeral expenses.
