Billy Hooks

Port Barre Memorial Services for Mr. Billy Ray Hooks, age 67, will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Rev. Benji Richard will officiate the services. Interment will be private.

Billy was a resident of Port Barre. He passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at LSUHSCUniversity Medical Center of Lafayette.

He was a switchman for Union Pacific Railroad for many years. After his retirement, he worked as a security guard for many locations.

He was a U. S. Veteran who proudly served his country.

Survivors include one daughter, Billie Ann Hooks Lafleur of Eunice one son, Brian Paul Hooks of Port Barre and five grandchildren: Kyle Glasscock, Gregory Lafleur, Summer Lafleur, Brice Hooks, and Jean Paul Hooks.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Guidry Hooks and his parents: Asa Hooks and Adolphine Robin Hooks.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
