Washington A Private Memorial Funeral service for Mrs. Beverly T. Nevills, 53, will be held for close family and friends at the Nevills' residence. Albert Tezeno will conduct the services.

Mrs. Beverly was born in Lafayette, LA, and was a resident of Washington. She died on Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at her residence. She had a long battle with cancer. She was a longtime employee of Stelly's Supermarket in LeBeau. Her hobbies included cooking for the family, watching cooking shows, sightseeing, collecting antiques, and doing various craft and home improvement projects. She was a wonderful person, a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed spending time with the family and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, David Edward Nevills, Sr. of Washington; one son, David Edward Nevills, Jr. of Washington; two daughters: Amy Nevills of Opelousas; and Karen Nevills Larue and husband, Naquan of Sulphur; mother-in-law, Anna Nevills of Palmetto; six sisters: Betty Williams and husband, Herbert of St. Louis, MO; Shirley Guillory and husband, Thomas of Lake Charles; Lola Linzy and husband, Jesse of Houston, TX; Virgie Mitchell and husband, Joshua of Lake Charles; Reola Tezeno of Baker; and Barbara Ned and husband, Charles of Opelousas; and four grandchildren: Zoey Nevills, Kobe Nevills, Kameryn Moore, and Noah Larue. She also had a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John Tezeno, Sr. and Leola Rose Tezeno; and one brother, John Tezeno, Jr.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Stagg and the staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their kindness, compassion and helpfulness during their time of need.
