OPELOUSAS-A Funeral Service for Betty Jo Marks, age 85, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2015, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fth. Austin Leger will celebrate the Service.

Betty passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015, at her home in New Iberia. Betty loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them and telling stories, especially about how she grew up. She loved to go out and eat and spend time at the Casino. Betty was a wonderful artist and is going to be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Marks Mora of Pompano Beach, FL.; grandson, Marcus Hebert of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Amity Hebert and Malachi King; brothers, Goldman Fontenot and wife Kitty of Baton Rouge, Warren Fontenot of Lawtell; sister, Norma Lee Fontenot of Lawtell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Marks; parents, Charles and Helena Brasseaux Fontenot and daughters, Shelia Marks Hebert and Mary Marks.
The family requested visiting hours on Monday, November 30, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary Service will begin at 1:30 p.m.
