Betty Johnson

Opelousas Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Betty Arceneaux Johnson. Interment will follow in the Bayou Jacque Church of Christ Cemetery in Bayou Jacque, LA. Rev. Benji Richard will officiate the services.

Betty was a native of Opelousas and was a longtime resident of Bayou Jack. She passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Bunkie General Hospital in Bunkie, LA, at the age of 72. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Winfred Johnson of Bayou Jack four sons: Rickie Johnson and wife, Gwen of Big Cane Dickie Johnson of Carencro Lionel Johnson of Marksville and Kenny Johnson and wife, Gwen of Scott one daughter, Bonnie Willingham of Opelousas one brother, Herbert Arceneaux of Baton Rouge one sister, Kathy Arceneaux of Opelousas 10 grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominique Arceneaux and Mathilde Theriot Arceneaux one daughter, Sharon Baham and one grandson, Danny Willingham.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, September 21, 2012, from 11 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
