Bettie Lalonde

Opelousas-Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015, in the First Baptist Church for, Bettie Rose Lalonde. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Bro. Perry Hubbbs will officiate the services.

Bettie was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her home in Opelousas, at the age of 86. She enjoyed going out to dinner, attending the Joy Group at the 1st Baptist Church, she was a member of the Mason Aux. and Bell South Pioneers. She was a volunteer for the Opelousas Police Department.
Survivors include a special friend, Bruce Jennings of Opelousas, her nieces, Grace Tromblay of Opelousas, Suzanne LeBlanc and Joy Lynn White of New Iberia, her nephew, Harold Lalonde, her god child, Becky Wells of Deham Springs, sister in law, Vina Lalonde of New Iberia, her aunt, Mary Lou Evans of Port Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chief Percy Lalonde, her parents, John and Theolia Mayer Neal.
Visiting hours will be observed in the First Baptist Church I-49 South, Opelousas on Friday, July 17, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers donation's can be made to First Baptist Church in Opelousas.
