Bertha Lanclos

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St. Landry Catholic Church for Bertha Bennett Lanclos. Fr. Jim Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Bertha was a resident of Port Barre, Louisiana. She died on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at her home in Port Barre surrounded by her family at the age of 88.

Bertha is survived by her children, Collins Lanclos, Jr. and wife, Connie; and Jennifer "Jennie" Savoie all of Port Barre, grandchildren, Brent Lanclos and his wife, Damera, of Cecilia, Troy Lanclos and his wife, Hope, of Port Barre, Shelbie and Paige Savoie, of Port Barre, great grandchildren, Ethan, Colby, Zata, Tanner and Kylie Lanclos, and one great great grand child, Kace Lanclos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ida Guidry Bennett, her husband, Collins Lanclos, Sr. and two daughters, Janet and Jill Lanclos, and two sons, Mitchell and Bradley Lanclos.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

A Rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in St. Landry Catholic Church.
