Opelousas Funeral services for Bernice Marie Quebedeaux, age 89, will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille funeral home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the service.
Bernice was a native of Prairie Basse, LA., and a long time resident of Zachery, LA. She passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Flanney Oaks Nursing Home.
She is survived by her sons Chester Quebedeaux and his wife, Mary of Zachery, La., and Earl Quebedeaux of Butte LaRose, LA., her brothers Alex Landry of Hessmier, LA., Alduce Landry, Jr., of Thibodeaux, Carl Landry of Metaire, LA., and Donald Landry, of Metaire, LA., five grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Moise Quebedeaux, her daughterinlaw Savannah Quebedeaux, and her sister, Pearl Lagrange.
The family would like to say a big Thank You for the staff of Flanney Oaks Nursing Home for the excellent care given to Ms. Bernice during her stay also to the Staff of Life Source Hospice for the professional care.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Saturday, September 3, 2011, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
