Opelousas Funeral services for Bernice Marie Stelly Diesi, 83, will be held at 11:30AM Friday, November 10, 2006, in St. Landry Catholic Church with burial in the Bellevue Memorial Park both located in Opelousas .

Reverend Angelo Cremaldi will officiate and the Reverend Monsignor Louis Melancon will con-celebrate the services. Deacon Sammy Diesi will pray the rosary at 7:00PM Thursday.

Bernice Marie Stelly Diesi , native of Prairie de Femme and resident of Opelousas, died at 5:45PM, Wednesday November 8,2006 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Diesi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed cooking and spending time with the family whenever possible.

She also enjoyed playing cards and dining with her dear friends. Mrs. Diesi was a member of the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include:husband Joseph C. J.C. Diesi of Opelousas; three sons Sammy Diesi and wife Rebecca Becky of Opelousas, Cyril Diesi of Opelousas, and Charles Diesi and wife Myrna of Opelousas; daughter, Mrs Linda Diesi Cornette and husband Eldon of Opelousas; sister Mrs. Edna S. LeBlanc and husband J.B. of Opelousas. Mrs. Diesi is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Diesi was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Eitha Stelly and one brother Clovis Stelly.
