Benita Pommier

A Private Memorial Service will be held for Mrs. Benita Pommier.

Benita, age 66, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Benita enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with family, going fishing, and camping. She also enjoyed crafting and creating mementos. Most of all she cherished making memories with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Benita is survived by her husband of nearly 39 years, Nicholas Pommier, daughter, Melissa Fontenot; brothers, Roland Vasseur and wife, Deidra, Dennis Vasseur and wife, Bridget; sisters, Elaine Vasseur and Linda Ortego; grandchildren, Samantha, Matthew, KK, Sean, Cameron, Jacob, Kristen, Lanie and Abbeie; great-granchildren, Saben, Ruby, Ashleigh and Renezmae.

Benita is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Versey Vasseur; sons, Larry and Nicky Lavergne; grandson, Gabe Lavergne; and sister, Jeanette Vasseur.
