Beatrice Faul

Lawtell -A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Beatrice Darbonne Faul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Interment will follow in the Belleau Cemetery in Swords.
Beatrice, 81, was a native of Swords and was a longtime resident of Lawtell. She passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Bea was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had great pride for her family and loved spending time with them. As a homemaker, she was always cooking and worrying about the next meal. She loved to dance and once unable to finish a dance herself, she was happy to sit and watch her family carry on her love of dance. She loved playing Bouree', a tradition that started at a young age, playing with her mother and cousins, which carried on throughout her life. She had many funny stories of the times spent with her card playing buddies.
Survivors include three daughters, Vicky Faul Baccus (Ed) of Carencro; Tammy Bihm (Joey) of Lawtell; and Lisa Breaux (Roddy) of Carencro; grandchildren: Lauren Arceneaux (Jordan); Katie Guidry (Hunter); Anna Baccus, Danielle Marcantel (Dane); Melissa Hebert (Clint); Mark Bihm and fiancée, Maggie Soileau; M'Lynn Breaux and Kelly Breaux; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerard Darbonne and Leiza Prudhomme Darbonne; one brother, Howard Wesley Darbonne; a special cousin who was like a sister, Theresa Darbonne Faul; and her former husband, Gustave Faul, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bihm, Jordan Arceneaux, Hunter Guidry, Dane Marcantel, Clint Hebert, and Lucas Daigle. Honorary pallbearers will be Greg Faul and Stanley Darbonne.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
