Bobbie passed away peacefully at her home on February 24, 2011, in Sunset, after a long struggle from her car accident.
Bobbie was married to Charles Ray Hession on June 7, 1945. They have three children: Bobby Hession married Sandra Belle Miller, Brenda Hession Ogden married Joseph, Kay Hession Herpin married Tony, eight grandchildren: Laurie Leifer Carlson, Brandon Leifer married Jennifer, Linzie Hession, Joseph Ogden III married April, Steven Ogden married Melinda, Robert Ogden married Destiny, Emily Herpin Wiltz married Ryan, and Melanie Herpin Broussard, and nine great grandchildren: Courtney Leifer, Alayne Carlson, Ashlyn Ogden, Faith Ogden, Hailey Ogden, Gabrielle Ogden, Madelyn Ogden, Thomas Wiltz and Sydney Wiltz.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Edgar Boudreaux and Estelle Burleigh Boudreaux.
Bobbie was born in Cecilia, LA, and was a native of Sunset. She graduated from Sunset High School and got her BS Degree from USL in Education. She married Ray and he did his Navy Tour of duty and lived in Miami and Kansas before settling in Sunset. They were married 65 years. She and our dad provided us with a wonderful fun loving atmosphere for us to grow up in. She never left our side when we were skating, bike riding, showing calves etc. She provided a loving home where all of her childrens friends gathered also. She loved to joke and was queen of fun. She loved dancing especially to the tune of Fats Domino. She and Ray went on many cruises. They won the newlywed game on several cruises and kept everyone in hysterical laughter. She missed this the most in her last year.
She assisted Brenda with Operation We Care sending packages to the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. She never stopped asking about them and how many letters and packages we send every month. She knew what it was to keep their morale up.
She will be missed by many who knew and loved her.
