Opelousas – A Funeral Service will be held for Austin Wyble on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 2:15 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home with a rosary at 2:00 p.m. Deacon Sammy Diesi will officiate the service. Visitation will be on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
Austin, age 91, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at his home. One of his greatest joys was dancing and he enjoyed going dancing at the Petroleum Club with close friends. Austin served our great country in the U.S. Air Force assigned to the 806th Military Air Police. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.
Austin is survived by his son, Derwin Wyble and his wife, Melanie of Opelousas, daughter, Denise Brockmann and her husband Mark of Opelousas, brothers, Gary Wyble and his wife, Elaine of Youngsville, and Don Wyble of St. Francisville, 5 grandchildren, Spring Ball (David) , Devin Wyble (Brandy) Dillon Graves, Dustin Wyble (Katelyn), Tyler Graves (Brittany), 9 great grandchildren and one on the way and a host of nieces and nephews.
Austin is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Peck Wyble, his parents, Austin, Sr., and Rita Lalonde Ortego, brothers, Arthur Wyble, Edward Wyble, and Ronnie Wyble, father and mother in law, Bernard Peck, Sr., and Luda Bourque Peck.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Devin Wyble, Dillon Graves, Dustin Wyble, Tyler Graves, Christian Janes, and Gaven Janes.
Honorary Pallbearers will be great grandsons, Hunter Fontenot, Benjamin Graves, and Slade Wyble.
