Armance Gros

Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial for Armance Tut Martin Gros age 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Port Barre. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.
Tut was a longtime residence of Port Barre. She died on Sunday, February 23, 2014, in the Opelousas General Health System. She enjoyed working in her yard, traveling, and cooking for her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Readers will be, Tammie Landry and Gylles Landry.
Gift Bearers, will be her daughter, Cleo, Norma, and Amy Lynn.
Survivors include children, Patrick Landry, Fordoche, LA, Paul Walls and wife, Faye of Maringouin, LA., Cleo Aymond of Port Barre, Norma Jean Stelly and husband, Curtiss of Addis, LA., and Amy Lynn Alphonse of Alva, OK., brother, Leon Noel and wife, Pat of Orange, TX., sisters, Matilda Bourque and husband, Walter of Arnaudville, and Josephine Reeves and husband, Alton of Benton, LA., thirteen grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Armand and Marie Taylor Martin, Sr., first husband, Pierre Gillis Landry, 2nd husband, Norman Joseph Gros, brothers, Hammy Martin, Armand Martin, Jr., and Leon Martin, sister, Elevlyn Warner.
The family request visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, beginning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:30 p.m.
A rosary service will be prayed on Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be, Curtiss Stelly, Joshua Stelly, Paul Walls, Will Kimble, Lucas Stelly, and Yancy Aymond.
