Opelousas A Memorial Mass for Mr. Ariel James Jim Lanclos, known to many as Jim, age 74, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas.
Fr. Paul Bienvenu will celebrate the Mass.
Jim was a longtime resident of Plaisance. He died on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his residence.
Jim proudly served his country in the Air Force. He was also an Air Traffic Controller for numerous airports for many years.
Survivors include his daughter, Shawn K. Duplantis and her husband, Mark of New Iberia two brothers: Earl Joseph Joe Lanclos and wife, Betty of Denham Springs and Larry Lanclos and wife, Sandra Sandy of Opelousas two sisters: Theresa Lanclos Colligan of Opelousas and Patricia Fontenot and husband, Darrell of Plaisance and one grandchild, Haley Gary of New Iberia.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents: Antoine Lanclos and Angelle Quebedeaux Lanclos.
