Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Antoine Menard, 80, will be held at 1:30PM on Thursday, April 12, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Brother Perry Hubbs will conduct the services.

Mr. Antoine Menard, a native of Sunset and resident of Opelousas, died at 10:40 PM on Saturday, April 7, 2007, at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Menard was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion Post 383.

Survivors include one son, A. J. Menard and wife, Patricia of LaPlace; three daughters: Ruth Ann Brister and husband, Larry of Coral Springs, FL; Linda Kee and husband, Kenneth of Gramercy; and DeBorah Huffman and husband, Tim of LaPlace; one daughter-in-law, Garnett W. Menard of Opelousas; 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Mr. Menard was preceded in death by his wife, Melda Stout Menard, one one, Norman Menard; his parents: Julian and Lillian Burleigh Menard; and four brothers: William, Lawrence, Dudley, and Milton Menard.

Pallbearers will be Stephen, Shawn, and Christopher Menard; Scott, Mark, and Norman Menard; Byron and Paul Gilchrist; and Travis Brister.
