Annie Lupo Terracina

Opelousas Funeral services for Annie Lupo Terracina, 90, will be held at 1:00PM Friday, March 23, 2007, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas.

The Reverend Jefferson J. DeBlanc, Jr. will conduct the services.

Mrs. Annie Lupo Terracina, a native and resident of Opelousas, died at 10:55PM on Monday, March 19, 2007 at the Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Terracina was an owner and operator of the TerracinaLupo grocery store. She was active in her community and church parish participating clubs and organizations such as the Our Lady of Mercy Altar Society, the Bona Fidem Auxiliary, the V.F.W. Auxiliary, and the Fireman's Auxiliary.

Survivors include: two sons, J.V. Joe Terracina and wife Emily of Baton Rouge and Lucus Terracina and wife Jean of Lake Charles; two daughters, Grace Shaw Broussard and husband Willis of Sulphur and Carol T. Saltz of Gretna; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Terracina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony Tony Terracina; her parents, Luca and Anna Fazzina Lupo; an infant daughter, Mary Grace Terracina; a brother, Charlie Lupo; two sisters, Lena and Cecile Lupo.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, March 22, 2007 from 4:00-9:00PM and reopen at 9:00AM on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 6:30PM on Thursday.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
