Andy Halphen

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Mr. Andy Scott Halphen, age 29, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 17, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Krotz Springs. Interment will be private.
Father Mark Ledoux will be the celebrant for the Mass.
Andy was a native of Krotz Springs and resident of Opelousas. He died on June 14, 2011, at his home. He was employed with The Wood Group as an Electronics Technician. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish, and cook. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his family and friends. He was a wonderful and loving husband, and a very devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Hope Lord Halphen of Opelousas one son, Dylan Halphen of Opelousas his father, David Scott Halphen and stepmother, Diane Guidry Halphen of Krotz Springs his mother, Angie Marks and stepfather, Glen Marks of Krotz Springs brother, David Michael Halphen and fianc, Sarah Landry of Eunice stepsisters, Crystal Babineaux of Krotz Springs and Sandi Babineaux of Lafayette motherinlaw, Marilyn Lord of Opelousas maternal grandmother, Glenda Crooks Johnson of Krotz Springs paternal grandparents, Charles Edward Halphen and Audrey Lacassin Halphen of Krotz Springs stepgrandparents, Thelma Arceneaux Guidry of Krotz Springs and Carroll Marks of Arnaudville brotherinlaw and sisterinlaw, Johnny Woodson and Spring Woodson of Opelousas nieces and nephews: Morgan Guillory, Kade Ardoin, Hayden Cini, Micah Woodson, Colin Woodson, Drake Woodson, Ashlyn Woodson, and Vanessa Woodson.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rita Lebeouf maternal grandfather, Eddie Johnson fatherinlaw, Richard Thibodeaux stepdaughter, Haley Marks and stepgrandparents, Sidney Guidry and Leona Marks.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home, 239 8th Avenue of Krotz Springs on Thursday, June 16, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Friday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
A Rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday evening in the funeral home.
