Opelousas- Andrew Carroll died on August 4, 2007 at 8:15PM after a long illness.
Mr. Carroll was born in Opelousas and resided in Lafayette at the time of his death.
He served in the United States Navy in World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He received an honorable discharge after being awarded 6 medals.
Mr. Carroll resided in Malden, Mass. for 51 years prior to moving to Lafayette. He was the Training Director in Government Systems Division for RCA for many years.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his wife Cheryl Voye Carroll of Lafayette, his sister Audrey Mae Spiller of Ninilchik, Alaska, sister-in-law Mabel Carroll of Opelousas, and his brother-in-law Bradford Voye of Corpus Christie, Texas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers
A memorial service will be held at graveside in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 11:00AM.
