Opelousas Funeral services for Ms. Amanda Morain, age 23, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Ham will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Amanda was a resident of Opelousas. She died on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Opelousas General Health System. She was employed at the Hilton Hotel in Lafayette.
Amanda enjoyed animals, painting and drawing. She also enjoyed being around her family and friends and they will miss her greatly. Everyone who knew her loved her will miss her.
Survivors include her parents Randall Randy Morain and Cynthia Billiodeaux of Opelousas, her grandmother Gloria Lanclos of Opelousas, her fianc Gerry Quirk of Opelousas, and his parents: Gerry and Rose Quirk of Opelousas, , her two sisters: Stacey Courville and husband Ronny of Opelousas, and Tracey Moran, and husband Conrad of Opelousas.
A special thanks to a friend that helped raise her Jack Stansberry.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, May 21, 2010, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
Pallbeares will be: Jack Stansberry, Ronnie Courville, Daniel Moreau, Rusty Quirk, Grant Doucet and Branden Soileau.
