Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Allen Leger, 56, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2008, in the St. Bridgette Catholic Church in Lawtell. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart 2 Cemetery in Church Point.

Father Daniel Picard will officiate the Mass.

Mr. Leger was born in Opelousas, and was a resident of Port Barre. He passed at 6:49 a.m. on August 7, 2008 at his residence.

Survivors include one sons: Clayton Leger of Port Barre; three daughters: Tina Leger Clardy and husband, Kenneth of Port Barre; Pamela Ann Leger of Denver, CO; and Erica Lynn Leger of Port Barre; one sister Annabel Venable and husband Felton of Church Point: one brother Joseph Leger Jr. of Opelousas, and three grandchildren; Alexis, Danielle, and Patrick and host of other family members and friends.

Mr. Leger was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Ms. Theresa Stelly Leger; his parents: Joseph Leger Sr. and Anita Benoit.

Visiting hours will be observed on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home on Friday Evening.
