Alice Verret

Opelousas Funeral services for Alice Courville Verret, age 85 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow at Verret Cemetery in Swords, LA. Fr. Austin Leger will officiate the services.
Alice was a native of Church Point and was resident of Grapevine, TX., for six years. She passed away on Monday July 14, 2014, after a short illness. Alice was a homemaker. She and her husband Black were residents of Eunice, LA. until she moved to Grapvine, in 2006. Loved going to the Grapevine Senior Center to listen to musicians and to play BINGO.

Alice is survived by her daughters, Brenda Verret Courville and husband Nolton Michael Courville of Grapevine, TX., Anna Lois Verret Andrus and husband, Melvin Andrus of Baton Rouge grandson Jason Michael Courville and wife, Chantelle and great grandchildren, Jay and Savannah grandson Jacob John Courville and wife, Melinda and great grand children Preston and Jaxson granddaughter Laci Andrus Taylor and husband David Vito, great grandchildren, Tejah, Reese, and Blaze grandaughter Traci Andrus and great grandson Treyse grandson Kacee Andrus and Fiancee Kayla Oubre.

Alice was preceded in death by parents, Adam Courville and Eunice Maher Courville, her husband, John Black Verret, siblings, Laura Courville Smith, Emma Courville McBride, Mary Courville Winn, Odile Courville Schexnailder, Bessie Courville Courville, Charlie Courville, Martin Courville Paul Courville.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral Home will reopen on Friday at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
