Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Evelyn Bordelon Dupre will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015, in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Bishop Michael Jarrell will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family of Alice Evelyn announces her death on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, at the age of 98. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and the Women's Service League.
She will be greatly missed by her children, James Dupre of Eunice, Katharine Aycock of Opelousas, Dina Baute and husband, Bill of Covington, Alice Lauve and husband, Gary of Baton Rouge, brother, Donald Bordelon of Opelousas, son-in-law, Mike Winters of New Orleans, twelve grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Dupre, her parents, Avie and Helen Poulet Bordelon, daughter, Julie Winters, brothers, Robert, Francis, Charles and James Bordelon, sister, Helen Brown.
In lieu of flowers donation can be made in her name to the Marianites of Prompt Succor 954 E. Prudhomme Street Opelousas, LA 70570
Visiting hours will be observed in the St. Landry Catholic Church of Opelousas on Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 12:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
