Port Barre--A memorial service will be held for Alex Danny Stoute on Tuesday, November, 6, 2018 at 1:30 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. Father Clint Trahan will conduct the service.
Danny, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 3, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital surrounded by his family.
Mr. Stoute proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany while serving as an army medic. As a chosen career, Danny was a licensed electrician and retired from Teche Vermillion Pumping Station. Upon his retirement, he also worked for the St. Landry Parish School Board as an electrician for almost 10 years.
Danny was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed fishing, camping, and cooking for his family and friends. His fondest moments were when he was able to share these outdoor activities with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Maxine Comeaux Stoute; two sons, Dirk Stoute and Brett Stoute and his wife, Celeste; grandchildren, Stephan, Elizabeth, Emily, Daniel, and Joseph; one brother, Keith Marks and his wife, Faith; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Leger Marks and Charles Marks; his father, Alex "Blackie" Stoute; his sister, Jackie Stoute Frey; his maternal grandparents, Eugene Leger and Genevive Guillory Leger; his paternal grandparents, Alex Joseph Stoute, Sr. and Theodile Aymond Stoute; and his nephew, Jarred S. Fontenot.
