Ms. Alene had been a resident of Courtyard Manor for the past 2 years but her heart and love was for Port Barre where she had spent all of her life. Ms. Alene was a devoted wife and a loving mother her family was her life. She was retired from TGY Department Store following ten years of employement. She was an avid gardener and there wasnt a sport that she didnt like. She spent countless hours hand sewing treasured quilts for all of her family. There was nothing she loved more than to cook for her family for Sunday dinners and family gatherings. She was so loved for our favorites her apple cakes with her special secret to make a crispy crust, her fantastic pecan pies and pralines nobody could cook like Old Maw Maw.
