Albert "Be Be" Melancon

Grand Coteau- A Funeral Service will be held for Albert "Be Be" Lee Melancon on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Grand Coteau; visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at 11:00 a.m. Minister Jude Lewis will officiate the funeral service.

Albert Lee Melancon, beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on January 6, 2022, at Opelousas General. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Albert is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Richardson and husband, Cody Richardson of Atlanta, Georgia, Chasity Boutte of Lafayette and Casity Boutte of Lafayette; step-daughter, Shameka Chevis and husband, Walter Chevis of Duson; step-son, Paul Prejean, Jr. of Sunset; one brother; Joseph Melancon and wife, Robin Melancon of Sunset; three sisters; Priscilla Melancon, Lorraine Melancon (Eugene) and Ellen Lewis and husband, Wilford Lewis; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Lee Melancon and Roberta Malbrough Melancon; one daughter, Monique Bergeron of Sunset; three brothers, Allen Melancon, Dave Melancon, Jerard Melancon; and one grandchild, Titus Richardson of Texas.
