Albert Going

Opelousas- A Memorial Service & rosary will be held for Albert George Going, at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Sammy Diesi officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services.

It is with deep regret that the family of Albert George Going announces his passing on January 23, 2021 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home from complications of Parkinson’s disease. Albert entered this world on November 4, 1948 to Robert E. Going, Sr. and Madeline Harmon Going.

Albert was a graduate of Opelousas High School where he participated in football and baseball. Albert attended Louisiana Tech University where he graduated with his business administration degree in 1971. Albert was employed in various sales position throughout his career. During his retirement years he enjoyed his love for antiques especially at the Spotted Cat Antique Alley. Besides his love of antiques, he enjoyed tennis, golf, and LSU football.

He is preceded in death by his parents Robert E. Going Sr. & Madeline Harmon Going.

He is survived by his sister Myra “C.C.” (Michael) Ortego, his twin brother, Robert (Gretchen) Going, niece Erika (Jay) Meade, and nephews Robby (Jan) Going, and Monty (Dana) Ortego. Albert also had 6 great nieces and nephews.
