Opelousas Funeral services for Adele Schwartzenburg Fisher, 87, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday , June 1, 2007, in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Opelousas, La. Interment will follow in the St. Landry Church Cemetery, Opelousas, La.

Father David Placette, a nephew and godchild will conduct the services.

Ms. Adele was a resident of Opelousas and died at 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at her residence.

Ms. Adele was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and was a dear friend to all that she knew. During her life she served first as a wonderful wife to her husband Lenard until his passing and she also did seamstress work for her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Musical selections will be provided by Carlie Sherwood and Glynn Schwartzenburg.

Survivors include, daughters, Susie F. Bergeron and husband Donald, Sr., Velma F. Marks and husband Calvin J., Gloria F. Wyble and husband Jerry W. all of Opelousas, La.; sisters, Irene Marie Schwartzenburg, Port Neches, Tx., Edna Marie S. Redlich, Basile, La., 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Ms. Adele was preceded in death by husband, Lenard Fisher; brothers, John Alvin, Joseph Allen, Lester James, Albert Pierre Schwartzenburg; sisters, Cecilia Rose S. Placette and Velma Katherine S. Rasberry; parents, John Ziah and Victorie Virginia Gosselin Schwartzenburg.
