Port Barre Funeral services for Mrs. Adele Barron Doucet, age 94, will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, 1:00 p.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum.
Adele was born in Ville Platte, LA, lived in the Port Barre area for many years and was a resident of Nederland, Texas, for the last seven years. She passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She and her husband owned The Little French Market and Ducks Drive Inn in Beaumont before retiring to Port Barre. She was a world travelerEurope, Korea, Orient, Holy Land as well as her favoriteVegas. She also enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Gloria Noel and husband, Willie of Nederland, TX Shirley Reaux and husband, Charles of Las Vegas, NV grandsons: Mitchell Noel and wife, Nancy of Carmel, IN Brian Noel and wife, Molly of Nederland, TX Aaron Reaux of Las Vegas, NV and Adrian Reaux and wife, Michelle of Phoenix, AZ granddaughter, Adele Renee Noel of Austin, TX and eight greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Doucet parents, Eraste Barron and Evia Deville Barron brothers: Marshall Barron, Albert Barron, Henry Barron, Dallas Barron, and Lee Barron sisters: Cora Tate, Lizo OConner, and Izola Howard and one grandson, Jack David Noel.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Noel, Brian Noel, Jessie Howard, Adrian Reaux, Tanner Noel, and Charles Reaux.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Monday, July 25, 2011, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
