James “Troy”, age 52, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

James “Troy” is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shelly Fontenot of Arnaudville, mother, Della Artigue Fontenot Prudhomme of Opelousas, sons, Joshua Scott Fontenot wife, Adrienne of Pawleys Island, South Carolina, and James Clayton Fontenot, II of Arnaudville, daughter, Dess’ree Nichole Major of Arnaudville, brother, Toby Warren Prudhomme wife, Lisa of North Carolina, sisters, Dina Marie Fontenot Marks, husband, Mike of Port Barre, Nicole Prudhomme Soileau of Lafayette, grandchildren, James Clayton Fontenot III, Peyton Fontenot, Keithlynn Fontenot, Austin Fontenot, Chailynn Fontenot, Gracelynn Majors, and Gavin Tripplet II.

James “Troy” is preceded in death by his father, James Clayton Fontenot, grandparents, Daniel and Gladys Artigue, grandmother, Ida Johnson Fontenot, grandfather, Seward Fontenot, brother, Jeffrey Fontenot, mother-in- law, Lisa Lejeune.
